Vice President, Controller, Family Office

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Controller for its Family Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the monthly and quarterly close processes across various investment vehicles, operating entities, and special-purpose structures. This includes maintaining accurate books and records, preparing financial statements, and monitoring liquidity and cash positions to support capital planning and forecasting. The role also involves fund and partnership accounting, such as maintaining partner capital accounts, processing capital calls and distributions, and calculating fund waterfalls and incentive allocations. Additionally, the VP, Controller will be involved in valuation and performance reporting, as well as coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators for audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting. Applicants must have 7-12 years' of accounting and financial reporting experience, with a strong background in fund and partnership accounting within alternative investments. A combination of public accounting and/or fund administration experience, followed by in-house experience at an investment manager, family office, or similar investment platform, is highly preferred. The role requires a deep understanding of the full accounting cycle, including all aspects of financial reporting, and the ability to support the design and implementation of accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems as the finance function continues to grow. The ideal candidate will be adept at performing ad hoc financial analysis to support investment and advisory teams and will have a proven track record of ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial deliverables.
