About the Role

The Company is seeking a Director for its GCIO Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) - Asia Markets. The successful candidate will be a key leader within the GCIO CCO function, directly supporting a number of Asia CIOs. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the GCIO can achieve strategic outcomes while remaining resilient and secure. This involves enabling markets to deliver strategic growth safely, helping CIOs make data-driven decisions to manage residual risk, and improving the understanding of key technology, cyber, and data risks. The role also includes ensuring the implementation of local technology risk policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, as well as partnering with risk and control owners to embed risk positions in control design and metrics. The Director will have regional and market responsibilities and will lead a team of CCOs to drive a value-based and outcome-focused approach, including cultural change to deliver strong integrated risk management. Key activities for the role include stakeholder management, driving risk and control decision-making, managing regulatory inspections, and overseeing emerging risks and strategic business initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a high-caliber professional with a deep understanding of operational risk and control management, and the ability to influence and shape the development of future-fit risk management and regulatory frameworks. Leadership and team management skills are essential, as the role involves leading a team of control managers and senior control managers, and continuously investing in their technical skills and professional development.
