Chief Digital Officer (CDO)

The Company is in search of a Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to spearhead its digital growth, product innovation, and market penetration. This senior executive role is pivotal in defining and executing the digital strategy, with a strong emphasis on commercial outcomes, customer adoption, and revenue growth. The CDO will be responsible for leading digital transformation initiatives, driving digital product development across various platforms, and ensuring the full digital product lifecycle is managed effectively. Collaboration with business units, building and leading digital teams, and developing strategic partnerships are also key aspects of the role. The ideal candidate for the CDO position at the company should have a minimum of 10-15 years' experience in banking or financial services, with a proven track record in digital banking, channels, payments, or product leadership. A strong commercial orientation, experience in driving revenue growth and digital adoption, and a deep understanding of mobile banking, digital payments, and financial ecosystems are essential. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate at an executive level, with experience in leading large-scale digital transformation or digital business units. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks within emerging markets, particularly in Africa, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of digital transformation, influencing the strategic direction and digital future of the organization.
