General Counsel

The Company is in search of a General Counsel to join its legal team. The successful candidate will be a key legal advisor, providing practical and business-oriented counsel on a wide range of corporate legal matters. This includes supporting commercial operations, employment issues, compliance initiatives, intellectual property strategy, and risk management. The role involves advising on commercial contracting, employment, compliance, and enterprise risk management, as well as drafting and negotiating various agreements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, solutions-focused attorney with the ability to manage competing priorities, negotiate sophisticated agreements, and partner effectively with business leaders. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor degree, an active Illinois state bar license, and at least 5-10 years of relevant legal experience. The role requires a strong background in commercial contract management, employment law, and corporate compliance. The candidate should be adept at managing outside counsel, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide clear legal guidance to non-legal business partners. Experience in intellectual property strategy, privacy, data security, and corporate governance is preferred.
