The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take on a pivotal role in leading all accounting, finance, and operational finance functions. The CFO will be the senior financial leader, with a hands-on approach, and will be heavily involved in the day-to-day financial management of the organization. Key responsibilities for the CFO include overseeing general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing, collections, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will also be tasked with monitoring the firm's financial performance, managing banking relationships, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal CFO for the company will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 7 years' progressive accounting and finance experience is required, with a background in professional services or legal accounting being highly valued. The role demands a professional with a strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, billing, and collections, and the ability to lead accounting operations while remaining hands-on. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential, as is experience with legal billing, accounting, and practice management systems. The CFO will also be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures, as well as coordinating annual audits, tax filings, and external service providers.
