President

The Company is in search of a President to lead its mission of empowering entrepreneurs, enterprises, and decision-makers in emerging markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, overall leadership, and ensuring that all programs and operations align with the organization's long-term goals. This includes oversight of the Institute's operations, fostering a positive work culture, and leading fundraising and business development efforts to secure financial sustainability. The President will also be expected to maintain strong relationships with the Board of Directors, the University of Michigan, and various external stakeholders, while upholding the Institute's collaborative, evidence-based, and mission-driven learning culture. Candidates for the President role at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field, at least 15 years' of experience, and a proven track record of at least 5 years' in a senior executive leadership position. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to the mission of the organization, academic credibility, and a history of investing in staff growth. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to be a strong systems thinker and to maintain active, well-established networks in the global development community. The role requires a leader who is intellectually humble, curious, and open to learning, and who can effectively engage with diverse stakeholders as a thought leader. Proficiency in another language, particularly Spanish or French, is desirable.
