Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its community-owned rural health hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership across all services, with a strong focus on improving health outcomes and diversifying and enhancing the range of services offered to the wider community. This role requires a visible leader who can establish and maintain effective, long-term relationships with key health funders, iwi, Pasifika community groups, and neighboring rural providers. The CEO will work closely with the Board to develop and deliver strategy, ensuring a quality experience for patients across primary, community, and hospital care. The ideal CEO for the company will have genuine health sector leadership experience, with a proven track record in financial management and a commercial acumen that allows for the identification and negotiation of new, sustainable opportunities. The role demands a leader who is politically aware, pragmatic, and skilled at managing community expectations while being genuinely committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and experienced in working with Māori and Pasifika communities. The candidate should be change resilient, able to lead through sector reform and funding uncertainty, and adept at keeping staff engaged and the Board well-informed.
