The Company is in search of an Assistant Vice President for Advancement, College of Medicine. The successful candidate will be the chief advancement officer for the college, providing strategic leadership and oversight for all fundraising, grateful patient philanthropy, and advancement initiatives. This role is pivotal in leading the college's advancement team, directing fundraising priorities, and developing comprehensive programs that align with the institution's education, research, clinical, and strategic objectives. The AVP will also be responsible for fostering a strong culture of philanthropy among various stakeholders and will be instrumental in the college's contribution to the university's fundraising campaign. Applicants for the AVP position must be strategic leaders with a proven track record in high-level fundraising, particularly at the major and principal gift level. The role requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' experience, or a Master's degree and at least 8 years' experience, in a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have a background in alumni relations, development, or marketing and communications, and a deep appreciation for the philanthropic culture of healthcare and its role in the community. Key qualifications include the ability to engage senior leadership, influence decision-making, and manage a large team. The AVP will be expected to have a high level of technological and operational fluency, and a commitment to the mission of the institution.
