Head of Quality

The Company is seeking an experienced Head of Quality to oversee the Quality function, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Laboratory, Calibration, and Customer Quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the annual Quality Strategy and Quality Plan across multiple manufacturing sites, with a strong emphasis on defect prevention. Key responsibilities for the Head of Quality include owning key Quality KPIs, leading and developing the Quality team, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves acting as the primary contact for international customer audits and quality requirements, particularly for customers in the US, Australia, and Asia, and leading the investigation and resolution of major customer complaints. Applicants for the Head of Quality position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and at least 10 years of Quality experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Quality management within manufacturing and export environments, particularly those involving synthetic fibers, polymers, textiles, or industrial manufacturing. A deep understanding of Quality tools and methodologies such as ISO 9001, 8D, FMEA, SPC, Cp/Cpk, MSA, RCA, and control charts is essential. The role requires excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and a data-driven approach to Quality management. The Head of Quality will be measured against key Quality and business outcomes, including First Pass Yield, Cost of Quality, customer complaints, and scrap rate.
