General Counsel

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to lead its legal function and provide strategic and hands-on legal support to senior leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal and business matters, including corporate governance, commercial activities, strategic initiatives, and enterprise risk. This role also involves providing legal leadership for acquisitions, investments, and other strategic transactions, as well as overseeing significant commercial agreements and managing litigation, disputes, and investigations. The General Counsel will be a key advisor on regulatory and compliance issues, particularly those affecting the company's operations and products, and will be tasked with the protection and management of the company's intellectual property and other key business assets. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a J.D. and active bar membership, with a minimum of 5 years' of legal experience, ideally 15+ years. A strong background in corporate law, including commercial transactions, M&A, governance, compliance, and intellectual property, is essential. Experience in manufacturing, industrial, consumer products, or other product-focused businesses is strongly preferred. The role requires a candidate with strong commercial judgment, the ability to translate legal issues into practical business advice, and demonstrated experience in leading legal teams and managing outside legal resources. Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are also necessary.
