Chief Technology Officer (CTO), B2B EdTech Scale Up

The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join its executive team and play a pivotal role in the technology strategy and growth of the business. The successful candidate will be the first dedicated CTO, responsible for shaping and owning the technology roadmap to ensure it aligns with the company's ambitious three-year growth plans. This includes leading a team of approximately 10 technology professionals, providing technical leadership, and driving the simplification and optimization of the technology landscape. Key priorities for the CTO will be to enhance the platform's scalability, security, and resilience, particularly in the context of increasing customer volumes, and to strengthen engineering practices, product delivery, and release management. The role also involves developing the company's approach to data, security, and technology governance, as well as defining and executing an AI strategy to improve engineering productivity and capacity. The ideal CTO for the company will have a background in senior engineering leadership, with experience in high-growth or early-stage environments, and a strong understanding of modern web-based architectures, backend technologies, and B2B SaaS. A proven track record in improving engineering practices, scalability, and delivery, as well as experience in PE-backed or fast-paced, value-focused businesses, is essential. The role requires a leader with strong technical credibility, commercial focus, and the ability to partner with the executive team and investors to translate technology investment into commercial value. While PHP/Laravel experience is beneficial, broader technical leadership capability is more important. The CTO will be expected to build a high-performing engineering culture that fosters innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement, and to be a key player in the company's growth journey.
