The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team. The CFO will be a key leader in the organization, responsible for the financial policies and direction that support the Foundation's mission. This includes leading all financial functions such as accounting, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, grants administration, compliance, reporting, and risk management. The successful candidate will also be an active participant in the overall strategy and strategic objectives of the Foundation, partnering with the CEO and the Board of Trustees. The CFO will oversee annual and long-term budgetary planning, provide strategic financial leadership, and ensure the integrity of financial reporting systems. A collaborative mindset and the ability to facilitate work across the entire organization are essential. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, and a CPA is required. A minimum of 15 years' of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years' in a senior leadership role, is necessary. Experience in nonprofit, philanthropic, or foundation settings is highly valued, and familiarity with grantmaking and IRS regulations for 501(c)(3) organizations is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic leadership, the ability to manage a large finance team, and a passion for advancing equitable and transformative solutions. Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASB regulations, and nonprofit accounting standards is essential, as is the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and to maintain a high level of emotional intelligence and integrity.
