Head of Data

The Company is in search of a Head of Data Platforms and Engineering to spearhead the expansion of its commercial data and AI capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of modern cloud data platforms, with a focus on supporting analytics, AI, and customer intelligence use cases. This role demands a leader with a strong technical background in modern cloud data technologies, including Snowflake and Databricks, and the ability to combine technical expertise with commercial strategy and senior client engagement. Key responsibilities include owning the commercial data platform proposition, leading client discovery and POCs, shaping target architectures, and advising on data governance. The role also involves developing reusable accelerators, building partner relationships, and leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and delivery professionals. Applicants for the Head of Data Platforms and Engineering position at the company should have a proven track record in senior leadership within data platforms, data engineering, consulting, systems integration, or technology services. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and leading large teams, strong technical expertise in modern cloud data platforms, and a deep understanding of data ingestion, orchestration, modeling, quality, governance, security, and observability. A successful candidate will also have a strong background in presales, including solution shaping, proposal development, and executive presentations, and a proven ability to create pipeline and win work through partnerships and POCs.
