Head of Engineering, AI Technology

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering to take on a pivotal leadership role in the technical delivery of its innovative AI technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering team, shaping architectural decisions, and owning the day-to-day technical delivery of the platform. This includes making and documenting key architectural decisions, evaluating and integrating emerging AI models, and defining engineering standards. The Head of Engineering will also be involved in team management, fostering a culture of ownership and curiosity, and partnering with the CTO as the team scales. Applicants for the Head of Engineering position at the company should have a proven track record of leading engineering teams in a fast-paced, product-led environment, with a focus on AI, SaaS, or deep-tech. Hands-on expertise in LLM integration, model-agnostic AI architectures, and strong cloud infrastructure skills across Azure, AWS, or GCP are essential. The role requires a deep knowledge of enterprise API design, workflow engines, queuing systems, and backend integrations, as well as experience in managing multidisciplinary technical teams and a history of shipping production-grade AI or real-time systems. The Head of Engineering will also be expected to ensure platform uptime, predictable sprint delivery, strong team retention and development, and successful client integrations, while maintaining security and compliance standards.
