Deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Operations Officer to serve as the second-in-command to the COO. This execution-focused operational leader will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the company's day-to-day operations and for executing the strategic vision set by the CEO and COO. The role is pivotal in bridging the gap between strategy and execution, with a key emphasis on turning high-level plans into measurable operational performance. The successful candidate will oversee daily operational workflows, improve efficiency in various functions, drive consistency across multiple markets, and be heavily involved in process and risk management, technology and systems oversight, team development, and strategic execution. Applicants for the Deputy Chief Operations Officer position at the company should have a background that includes at least 10 years in banking operations, with a preference for those experienced in larger community or regional bank settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of loan operations, deposit ops, and treasury services, as well as exposure to regulatory exams and experience with SOX controls. Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean/Six Sigma is a plus. The role requires a leader who can coach operational teams, implement performance metrics, and build a scalable infrastructure for growth. Strategic execution is also a key aspect of the role, with a focus on translating growth goals into operational readiness and ensuring that staffing, systems, and policies can support expansion.
