Head of Process Development

The Company is seeking a Head of Process Development to lead the industrialization strategy and roadmap for the production of human milk constituents. This senior leadership role is pivotal in the transition from proof-of-concept to commercial supply, with a focus on scaling up the bioproduction process. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and owning the industrialization roadmap, making critical strategic decisions on the scale-up trajectory, and ensuring the process is robust, scalable, and cost-effective. Key responsibilities include leading the bioprocess organization, team building, and talent development, as well as owning capital expenditure and unit economics. The role also involves cross-functional leadership, tech transfer, and the integration of innovative bioprocess technologies. Applicants for the Head of Process Development position at the company should have an MSc, PhD, or engineering degree in a relevant discipline, with over 10 years' of experience in industrial bioprocess or biomanufacturing. A proven track record in leading a manufacturing scale-up project and deep expertise in mammalian cell culture bioprocessing are preferred. The role requires a strong understanding of quality frameworks and regulatory expectations, as well as the ability to make critical strategic decisions and align operational choices with commercial and regulatory objectives.
