This role demands a professional with a strong engineering background, banking domain knowledge, architecture experience, and a proven track record in delivery leadership. The AVP, Senior Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading solution design and engineering delivery, ensuring high engineering quality, and fostering the adoption of modern engineering practices such as Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, and API-First Design. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience, and at least 2 years in a technical leadership role. The role requires a deep understanding of banking domains, including payments, accounts, entitlements, and regulatory controls, as well as experience in delivering corporate internet banking, transaction banking, or digital banking platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skill set, including hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and various database technologies. Experience with UI and digital channel technologies, cloud-native deployment, and AI-assisted software engineering tools is also essential. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams, so strong communication and stakeholder management skills are a must.
