Vice President, Legal Counsel, Legal Department

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Legal Counsel to join its legal department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support and advice on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of various transactions. This includes partnering with external counsel, managing legal risks, and serving as a trusted legal advisor to the company's business. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders across different teams and supporting the company on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters. Applicants must have a good law degree from a recognized university, be admitted to practice in a common law jurisdiction, and have at least 10 years' of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department within the financial services sector. A strong background in investment banking, corporate banking, credit and lending, and capital markets legal work is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex transactions, providing strategic legal advice, and balancing risks with commercial considerations. Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to work independently, exercise sound legal judgment, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
