Interim National Deputy Head of School, Cross Disciplinary Strategy & Development

The Company is seeking a National Deputy Head of School for Cross-Disciplinary Strategy and Development. This leadership role is pivotal in the implementation of the school's courses and programs, with a focus on quality assurance and the achievement of targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading work packages related to cross-disciplinary strategy in teaching and research, contributing to the school's performance in learning, teaching, and research, and supporting the financial management of the national school. Additionally, the role involves co-supervision and management of school staff, key representational duties, and a commitment to training and community engagement. Applicants for this fixed-term position should have a Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline area or equivalent industry experience, as well as a proven track record of leadership in a university setting. The role requires a demonstrated capacity to develop a cross-disciplinary sciences focus in teaching and research, particularly in the context of initial teacher education and postgraduate education. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of budget and financial management principles, be aligned with the company's strategic pillars in teacher education, and show a commitment to service and leadership within the university.
