About the Role
Greater Utrecht, Netherlands Area (On-site)
The Company is seeking a new Chair for its Board and Supervisory Board. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and inspiring leader, with a deep understanding of the mental healthcare landscape and the needs of clients and their loved ones. This dual role is pivotal in advocating for the organization's mission and in overseeing a fundraising entity that aims to make a significant societal impact. The successful Chair will be a powerful voice for the company, a strategic and flexible leader, and a strong connector both within the organization and in the broader political and administrative context. The role requires a person with an academic level of thinking, extensive experience in a supervisory or director role, and a proven track record in stakeholder management. As the figurehead of the company, the Chair will work closely with the Managing Director to ensure that the voice of clients and their loved ones is heard and that the organization's goals are met. This includes a focus on strengthening mental resilience, breaking taboos, and promoting participation. The Chair should be authentic, approachable, and driven by substance, with the ability to balance authority and vulnerability. A background in governance, and experience in an association context, is highly valued. The position demands a leader who is both meticulous and strategic, and who can navigate the dynamic environments of the company with ease. The Chair will be expected to be a leader who fosters a culture of trust, is not ego-driven, and is dedicated to the long-term success of the organization.
