Interim Vice President of Accounting

The Company is in need of an Interim Vice President of Accounting to provide both strategic and operational leadership during a significant period of organizational transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial functions, including accounting, financial reporting, compliance, audit, and treasury. This executive will work closely with the CFO and senior leadership to ensure financial integrity, enhance internal controls, and optimize reporting processes. Key responsibilities for the role include executive financial leadership, overseeing financial close processes, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, leading and developing accounting teams, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a CPA certification, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and over 15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including a minimum of 5 years in public accounting. Applicants for the Interim Vice President of Accounting position at the company should possess a deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and financial reporting, as well as significant experience in leading annual audits and regulatory reporting. The role requires a leader with strong treasury, cash management, and financial stewardship experience, and a proven track record in managing complex financial operations.
