About the Role
Remote (anywhere in Ireland)(Ireland)
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the strategic and financial growth of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive plan to enhance the enterprise value of the group, which includes a diverse range of financial services. This role demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in finance, including a minimum of 3 years' experience as a CFO, Group CFO, or VP Finance with full P&L and balance sheet accountability. The CFO will be tasked with closing the gap between a single education business and a diversified group, with a focus on creating a sum-of-the-parts valuation framework, structuring entities for maximum value, and leading the group to institutional-grade financials. Direct experience in performance marketing economics, multi-entity holdco or portfolio management, and a strong background in financial services are essential. The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company will be a direct, hands-on leader with a builder mentality, capable of challenging the founders with data and driving operational change. A background in financial services, particularly in the areas of publishing, education, software, wealth management, or fund management, is strongly preferred. The role requires a professional with a deep understanding of capital allocation, fund structuring, and regulatory compliance, particularly in multi-jurisdictional environments. The CFO will also be responsible for treasury, cash, and group risk, and must be adept at optimizing working capital and managing banking and payment processes. A strong personality and cultural fit is crucial, with a zero-tolerance for sloppy reporting, a direct communication style, and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.
