Vice President, Special Situations
About the Role
Remote (anywhere in New York)
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Special Situations. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and executing opportunistic and special situations investments across a range of asset classes, including credit, structured products, specialty finance, and equity. This role involves building and analyzing financial models, conducting in-depth due diligence at the company, industry, and asset levels, and preparing and presenting investment recommendations to senior professionals. The Vice President will also be tasked with monitoring the performance of portfolio investments and identifying new opportunities in the market. Applicants for the Vice President position should have a background in investment banking, restructuring, private credit, special situations, distressed investing, or hedge funds, with a minimum of 2-8 years' experience. Strong financial modeling and credit underwriting skills are essential, and experience in evaluating both debt and equity investments is preferred. The role requires a candidate with intellectual curiosity, a keen interest in complex, event-driven investment opportunities, and excellent analytical and communication skills. The Vice President will be part of the front office team and will play a key role in the company's investment activities.
