The Company is in search of a President & Chief Executive Officer to guide the organization through a pivotal phase, enhancing its role as a leading and trusted voice in the energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for external representation, building and maintaining relationships with government, industry leaders, and the public, and leading the organization's policy and advocacy agenda. This role demands a politically astute and credible leader with a deep understanding of the intersection between government, public policy, and the energy sector. The CEO will be the principal external voice, engaging with a diverse membership and ensuring that the organization's influence is both independent and credible. Key responsibilities for the CEO include strengthening the organization's position as a credible and influential advocate, particularly on issues related to the reliability, affordability, and competitiveness of the energy sector. The role also involves leading a high-performing team, overseeing financial and operational management, and working closely with the Board of Directors to provide strategic advice and ensure strong governance. The ideal candidate will be a natural relationship builder, capable of convening stakeholders and facilitating dialogue on complex issues. While experience in the Ontario energy sector is preferred, exceptional leaders from related fields will also be considered.
