The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Technology Officer to play a pivotal role in the operational and strategic leadership of a large tech organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering and architecture strategy, including setting technical standards, and will be the key decision-maker in build-vs-buy scenarios. This role demands a hands-on leader with a proven track record in scaling product-led tech environments, particularly in the context of security and compliance with ISO 27001 standards. The Deputy CTO will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of operational excellence, mentoring senior leaders, and ensuring the technology platform remains modern and secure. Applicants for the Deputy CTO position at the company should be grounded, low-ego technical leaders with a strong focus on real-world delivery and organizational impact. The role requires a leader who can balance great engineering with commercial reality, and who is adept at turning a messy technology estate into a scalable solution.
