Associate Vice President, Digital Underwriting & Innovation, Life Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking an AVP for Digital Underwriting and Innovation in Life Insurance. This key leadership role is focused on driving the strategy, development, and execution of digital underwriting capabilities to enhance the customer, partner, and employee experience. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of transforming the underwriting process through the integration of automation, AI, and data analytics. Responsibilities include defining and advancing the digital underwriting strategy, owning and evolving underwriting technology platforms, and leading a team to modernize the underwriting experience. The role also involves partnering across various business functions to deliver strategic initiatives and staying abreast of market trends to ensure the company's competitive position. Candidates for this role should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in life insurance underwriting, with a strong background in underwriting technology transformation and digital underwriting strategy. A proven track record in leveraging emerging technologies to improve underwriting efficiency and customer experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, experience in leading large-scale change initiatives, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Professional designations such as FALU, CLU, and/or FLMI are preferred, and a Bachelor's degree is also desirable. The role requires a leader who is recognized as a thought leader in underwriting innovation and is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
