CTO / Chief Architect / Chief Security Officer

As the CTO, you know how code, architect, and manage and you've ideally been a CTO or a Director of Engineering. You've got start up experience, experience in building software in healthcare, and a desire to be part of a fast-growing team. You should be willing and able to roll up your sleeves to work on our full stack to help our customers with complex data manipulation while Trayt creates our data pipelines for future data science work. You will directly report to the Founder & CEO. · Lead, define, and communicate engineering strategy and progress to all stakeholders · Lead all backend and frontend engineering activities for the web and mobile applications · Directly manage the engineering team and make calculated build vs. buy decisions on development activities · Contribute to code base and build high quality code through TDD, pair programming, code reviews, static analysis and documented best practices · Translate product strategy into detailed requirements. Interact closely with product and data sciences to ensure product is built per requirements and provide data and flexibility to create meaningful tools for all users · Ensure data privacy and security requirements per HIPAA and SOC2 and closely follow compliance guides · Lead compliance audits (such as HITRUST, ISO 27001, SOC2 etc..) from planning to completion · Plan, scope, execute and interface with auditors to manage compliance and security audits. · Ensure system health on an on-going basis and provide a reliable and safe environment for patient health data and experience · Create analytic tools to track and improve user engagement with the platform · Lead technical support and ensure timely responses to technical issues and questions Desired skills and expertise · Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field · 5+ years of managing engineering teams using an Agile or Scrum methodology · 5+ years and proven industry experience building robust & scalable web/app services with a heavy focus on data, data management, AI, and Machine Learning · Experience in building and maintaining scalable/ highly secure/available cloud-based SAAS applications. · Hands on full stack engineer proficient in Python, Javascript - NodeJS/React/ReactNative · Skills with SQL and NoSQL databases including DynamoDB · Hands on experience in setting up Continuous Deployment / Continuous Integration pipelines on AWS · Hands on experience leading a team while still being heavily involved in day-to-day programming · Familiar with healthcare security and regulatory requirements, including compliance with HIPAA and SOC2 · Start-up experience is a must · Skillful in building a team culture and able to mentor and train · An absolute collaborative and “CAN DO” approach to problem solving · Positive attitude and ability to laugh!
