Head of Islamic Banking

The Company is seeking a Head of Islamic Banking to lead its Islamic product portfolio and drive business growth. The role will shape product strategy and oversee retail banking products from concept through launch and ongoing performance. Responsibilities include identifying growth opportunities, monitoring product performance and market trends, and collaborating with sales, marketing, operations, and technology teams. The successful candidate will ensure products meet Shari’ah principles, regulatory requirements, and governance standards, while managing senior stakeholder relationships and developing the product team. Candidates should have at least 15 years of banking experience, including senior-level responsibility in Islamic Banking and product management. Strong retail banking product expertise is required; corporate banking exposure and international market experience are beneficial. Applicants should understand the UAE Islamic Banking market, Shari’ah-compliant products, banking regulations, risk management, and Shari’ah governance. A track record of product development, portfolio management, and commercial results, along with strong leadership and stakeholder skills, is essential. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is required.
