Dean of the College of Performing Arts

The Company seeks a collaborative, creative, and strategic Dean to provide visionary leadership for its performing arts programs. The Dean will guide academic and artistic programs as they evolve to meet students’ needs, strengthen national visibility, and attract and retain talented students and faculty. Responsibilities include advocating for the value of performing arts education, developing curricular partnerships across the institution, and building relationships within the surrounding community. The Dean will lead faculty and administrative and production staff in fostering a supportive learning environment that combines classroom instruction with production and performance. Candidates should bring a strong record of administrative leadership in the performing arts and a background that qualifies them for appointment as a full professor. They should also demonstrate teaching, creative practice, and scholarship appropriate to a senior academic leadership role. The position calls for knowledge of the academic and technical production areas represented in performing arts programs, along with a collaborative, accessible, transparent, and communicative leadership style.
