Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to oversee daily accounting operations while remaining actively involved in accounting work. Responsibilities include managing general and analytical accounting, tax filings and obligations, payroll oversight, monthly and annual closings, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The role also covers monitoring cash flow and transactions, managing accounting obligations for additional entities, guiding the accounting team, and improving procedures and internal controls. The Head of Accounting will collaborate with senior leadership and external partners, providing reliable financial data and reports. Candidates should have at least seven years of substantial experience in an organized accounting department, ideally with team supervision responsibilities, and a university or technical university degree in Economics or Accounting. An Accountant–Tax Technician Class A license is required, along with strong knowledge of Greek accounting standards and tax legislation. Applicants should have proven experience with VAT, VIES, Intrastat, tax returns, payroll, and financial closings, as well as the ability to independently manage accounting and tax obligations. Strong ERP and Excel skills, organization, accuracy, accountability, communication, and team-management abilities are also required.
