Vice President of Finance, Portfolio Operations

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance, Portfolio Operations to provide hands-on finance leadership across a portfolio of businesses. The role involves building and strengthening accounting functions, improving close processes, reporting, lender compliance, tax, transaction accounting, and internal controls. The successful candidate will lead initiatives such as audit readiness, GAAP conversion, system implementations, working capital optimization, and FP&A improvements. They will also support acquisition due diligence, advise finance leaders and management teams, address reporting and control gaps, and coordinate third-party providers across multiple engagements. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a CPA or CPA candidacy is strongly preferred. Relevant experience should include public accounting and an in-house finance leadership role, ideally in a private equity-backed or entrepreneurial business, along with transaction advisory, financial due diligence, or Quality of Earnings experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, familiarity with ERP platforms, and experience supporting founder-led or newly acquired businesses are important. The role also calls for executive communication, adaptability, project management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and external providers independently.
