Associate Vice President, Data Architecture

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Data Architecture to help refine and uphold its data strategy and ensure that data services and implementation initiatives align with it. The role includes supporting cloud-based analytics and data science capabilities, promoting adoption of data management standards, and maintaining data models and governance assets. The successful candidate will provide cloud architecture guidance, shape design decisions, and support safe cross-border data sharing throughout the lifecycle of data solutions. They will also collaborate with project teams and translate business needs into consistent, scalable data architecture. Applicants should have 5–12 years of experience in banking or investment banking and a postgraduate qualification. The role requires the ability to define data standards, patterns, and architectural principles, and to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with cloud data platforms, data governance tools, and AI/ML architecture is valuable, as are familiarity with model lifecycle management and MLOps. Python skills and experience prototyping data or AI solutions are beneficial, along with asset management knowledge, product-led thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
