The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to shape its technology strategy and guide the evolution of its platform. The role includes leading and growing the engineering team, modernizing legacy systems and platform architecture, and advancing scalable, cloud-ready solutions. The CTO will oversee technical roadmaps, architecture decisions, development processes, deployment practices, and quality assurance. Working closely with product management and business leaders, the CTO will support user-focused product development and align technology decisions with long-term business goals. Candidates should have several years of technical leadership experience, ideally in a growing product-focused business, and a record of modernizing complex legacy systems. Strong knowledge of modern web development is required, with experience in CI/CD, containers, and cloud infrastructure; familiarity with PHP/Symfony and JavaScript/Angular is an advantage. The role also calls for entrepreneurial thinking, effective team building and coaching, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly at executive level. Excellent German skills (at least C1) and fluent English are required.
