Interim Head of Internal Communications Greater Birmingham, United Kingdom Area

The Company is seeking a Head of Internal Communications to shape how colleagues understand and connect with its purpose, strategy, and priorities. The role will define and deliver an enterprise-wide communications strategy, advise senior leaders, and turn complex topics—including performance, customer outcomes, transformation, and change—into clear, compelling narratives. The successful candidate will use colleague feedback, audience insight, and performance measures to improve communications, while overseeing governance, standards, and channel effectiveness. They will also lead and develop the internal communications team and manage budgets, suppliers, and external partnerships. Candidates should have a strong record of delivering internal communications strategies across complex organizations, including experience with organizational change and sensitive or crisis communications. They must be confident advising senior leaders and skilled at translating complex priorities into accessible messaging informed by audience insight and performance data. Strong knowledge of communication channels, governance, and best practices is required, along with experience leading high-performing teams and managing budgets and external partners. Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment is also required.
