Vice President of Engineering

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Engineering to lead the development of a foundational platform that will enable safe, scalable, and compliant AI capabilities for a large customer base. The successful candidate will be the technical and engineering organizational owner of this platform, with a focus on embedding AI products in customer-facing experiences. This role demands a senior engineering leader with a strong background in software engineering, including experience in crafting low-latency distributed systems, LLMs, and log management architectures, particularly in regulated industries. The VP of Engineering will be responsible for defining the technical direction of the platform, building and leading a high-caliber engineering team, and ensuring the platform meets its ambitious goals in collaboration with product, legal, compliance, security, and executive leadership. Applicants for the VP of Engineering position at the company should have a minimum of 13 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in building scalable solutions, deep knowledge of modern technology stacks, and the ability to make high-stakes technical decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience in hiring and managing large engineering teams, as well as a strong background in AWS. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, with a Master's degree or equivalent experience in ML/AI research being a plus.
