Chief of Staff to the General Manager Greater Bucharest, Romania Area

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to the General Manager for one of its largest markets. This role is pivotal in driving the operational cadence, making and executing decisions, and owning cross-functional projects that are essential for the market's success. The successful candidate will be the GM's right hand, with a focus on running the country at scale and ensuring that the business operates smoothly and efficiently. The Chief of Staff will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including running the country's operating rhythm, owning various routines to drive decision-making, and building a reporting layer to catch problems early. They will also be involved in problem-solving, managing stakeholders, and preparing the GM for various reviews and updates. The role requires a hands-on approach, with the expectation that the Chief of Staff will be deeply involved in the work, from analysis to execution. Applicants for this role should have a total of 4 to 7 years' of experience, with a background in top consulting, PE, IB, or equivalent for the early career phase, and at least 18 months of experience in an operational role. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, be fluent in Romanian and English, and possess the ability to push and influence others without being confrontational. The role demands a high level of comfort with ambiguity, speed, and shifting priorities, as well as a willingness to engage in the unglamorous work that is necessary for the country to run well. The Chief of Staff will be expected to be the GM's partner, holding leaders to their commitments and pushing the team to continuously improve.
