Senior Vice Provost for Student Success Greater Chicago, IL Area

The Company is seeking an inaugural Senior Vice Provost for Student Success to lead a comprehensive, institution-wide strategy for improving student persistence, retention, graduation, career readiness, post-graduate success, and civic engagement. The role will lead a central office coordinating student success functions, establish shared goals and accountability measures, and strengthen collaboration across academic and administrative units. The successful candidate will advance coordinated advising, student support, structured academic pathways, high-impact learning, and equitable access to opportunities. They will also champion the use of data, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve student outcomes and translate strategic priorities into measurable results. Candidates should bring substantial experience advancing student success in partnership with faculty, staff, and academic leadership, along with a record of leading complex organizations and large-scale change. Required strengths include building partnerships and consensus, using evidence to guide decisions, and communicating effectively with sound judgment and integrity. A deep commitment to student achievement, access, belonging, and equitable outcomes is essential. An earned doctorate or equivalent terminal degree is required; a tenured faculty appointment may be considered for candidates whose academic credentials and experience support it.
