Vice President of Finance

The Company is in search of a VP of Finance to play a pivotal role in the organization's financial operations and infrastructure development. The successful candidate will be a strategic and hands-on leader, responsible for building and leading the finance team, establishing scalable systems, and ensuring disciplined financial management. This role goes beyond traditional finance and accounting leadership, encompassing executive oversight of HR administration, IT, facilities, compliance, and enterprise risk management. The VP of Finance will be a trusted advisor to the Executive VP/CEO and the Boards of Directors, providing financial insights, and strengthening operational effectiveness. Key responsibilities include financial strategy, executive partnership, and the development of financial plans that support growth and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, over 10 years of financial leadership experience, and a strong command of GAAP, with advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. The ideal candidate for the VP of Finance position at the company will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, with a preference for a CPA, MBA, or relevant master's degree. They should have a proven track record of at least 10 years in financial leadership, with experience in building and leading finance operations, and a strong command of GAAP. The role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented individual with a hands-on leadership style, excellent communication skills, and a systems and process mindset. While not mandatory, experience in nonprofit finance, grant management, or the construction industry is preferred. The candidate should be a collaborative relationship builder, capable of influencing financial strategy and organizational growth, and be prepared to take on broad leadership responsibilities in a dynamic, growing organization.
