Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Company is seeking an Interim Chief Financial Officer to provide executive-level financial leadership during a period of transition. The role oversees core financial operations, including cash management, financial close, internal controls, reporting, liquidity forecasting, and risk mitigation. The CFO will advise senior leadership and the board on financial strategy and organizational decisions, while maintaining policies, procedures, and compliance standards. The position also focuses on ensuring operational continuity and preparing clear documentation for a smooth handover to a permanent finance leader. Candidates should have proven experience as an interim or transitional CFO, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven setting. They need extensive expertise in cash management, liquidity forecasting, and funding from multiple sources, along with a strong record overseeing financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls. Experience working directly with executive leaders and boards, and navigating organizational change or financial uncertainty, is important. A deep understanding of nonprofit financial operations, compliance, and governance is preferred, as are practical leadership, clear communication, and sound judgment under pressure.
