Managing Director

The Company is seeking a Managing Director to provide strategic leadership, commercial oversight, and cultural stewardship. The role includes setting and delivering long-term and annual business plans, leading overall performance and financial management, and maintaining strong governance, compliance, and risk management. The Managing Director will lead and develop a high-performing, inclusive team, uphold quality and environmental integrity, and drive business development and lasting client relationships. They will also represent the organization externally and ensure its work supports its nature-recovery mission. Candidates should have a proven record leading a commercial consultancy or similar people-based business, with responsibility for revenue, profitability, growth, and business development. Strong commercial and financial acumen, strategic planning, performance management, and governance experience are required. Applicants should understand UK environmental policy, biodiversity net gain, land-use planning, and nature-based solutions, and be skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and building partnerships. The ideal candidate is an inclusive, resilient leader who balances commercial performance with environmental integrity and is personally committed to nature recovery and ecological stewardship.
