Vice President, Application Security Engineer Greater Fort Worth, TX Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Application Security Engineer with a focus on AI and software systems. The successful candidate will be the subject-matter expert in the secure development and operation of agentic AI, partnering with engineering teams to design and implement security controls for AI agents and autonomous workflows. This hands-on role requires the identification and remediation of AI-specific risks, establishment of security guardrails for AI workloads, and the integration of security into the software development lifecycle. The role also involves mentoring developers on secure coding practices, contributing to security standards, and managing third-party security engagements. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in application or product security, with a total of 7 years in software development and information security. Deep knowledge of AI security risks, secure software development lifecycle, and experience with application security testing tools is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in authentication and authorization protocols, DevOps/CI-CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred, along with relevant security certifications. Experience in financial services or a regulated industry, as well as a proven track record of mentoring and leading security programs, is a plus.
