Associate Vice President, Financial Reporting & Accounting Greater Hong Kong Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Financial Reporting and Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting process of the company's HK entities, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and various regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing the preparation of financial statements, supervising a team for the timely and accurate submission of reports, and performing assessments on the accounting and regulatory reporting treatment for current and new products and businesses. The AVP will also be involved in driving process streamlining, Gen-AI initiatives, and managing internal and external audits. Applicants must be degree holders in accounting, finance, or related disciplines, and a qualified accountant with a minimum of 6 years' relevant experience in financial institutions or Big 4 audit firms. Strong knowledge of banking products and their associated accounting and regulatory reporting treatments is essential, with a preference for candidates with experience in locally incorporated banks and SFC licensed entities. The role requires a candidate with a good foundation in financial control and governance frameworks for banks, as well as a proven track record in driving process efficiency and Gen-AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
