Managing Director, Product Development

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Product Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy and roadmap for data, index, and digital products to support business growth. This includes managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to development, launch, review, and retirement. The role also involves monitoring market trends, gathering client feedback, and ensuring that all product activities comply with governance, regulatory, and control requirements. The Managing Director will lead a team, oversee index production and delivery, and develop efficient and scalable data solutions to support index management. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline, with at least 12 years of experience in the financial industry, particularly in the areas of index, data, exchanges, or asset management. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in product lifecycle management, experience in people leadership, and a proven track record of owning product strategy and delivering commercial outcomes. Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to work within robust governance, risk, and control environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at using data to prioritize, problem-solve, and improve service quality, and will be able to lead through change with a disciplined approach to decision-making and documentation.
