Chair & Trustees (Board-level role)
Hiring Company
About the Role
Greater London, United Kingdom Area (On-site)
The Company is seeking a new Chair and three Trustees to join its Board and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of independent living for older women in housing need. The successful candidates will be part of a significant transition, as the organization expands its community and re-evaluates its service delivery to ensure it meets the evolving needs of its residents. The ideal Chair and Trustees will be thoughtful, collaborative, and bring strategic insight to the decision-making process, always with a focus on the residents' well-being and the values of the organization. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a charitable housing trust with a rich history of providing secure and affordable homes for older women. The role is unremunerated, but reasonable expenses will be paid. The Company is particularly interested in Trustees with experience in property, legal and governance, community engagement, and health and social care, to complement the skills of the new Chair. The role is not about direct care provision but rather about supporting residents in accessing the services they need and fostering a mutually supportive community that reduces loneliness and isolation. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of older women and are committed to the values of independence, privacy, and dignity, we encourage you to apply.
