Head of Finance

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership and operational oversight across a complex international organization. The role leads finance operations, financial strategy, planning, stewardship, controls, and global payroll, while strengthening systems and improving the finance function’s effectiveness. Responsibilities include advising senior leadership and the Board, supporting bids and other business opportunities through due diligence and financial modelling, and ensuring compliance, risk management, and transparent reporting. The Head of Finance also oversees restricted funds, treasury and foreign exchange management, and initiatives that promote accountability, inclusion, and value for money. Candidates must be qualified members of a recognized accounting body and bring extensive senior-level international finance experience, including leadership of global finance functions. Essential expertise includes change management, statutory reporting, complex accounting systems, strategic planning, budgeting, and management reporting. Applicants should understand financial management in the development sector, including tax, VAT, foreign exchange, and international regulatory frameworks. Strong communication, stakeholder influence, strategic thinking, and team leadership are required, along with the ability to navigate diverse working cultures and explain complex financial matters to non-financial audiences.
