Managing Director, Target Systems

The Company is seeking a Managing Director to lead a complex technical business, delivering strong operational performance and strategic growth while ensuring safe, compliant operations. Responsibilities include leading a cross-functional management team, strengthening customer relationships, improving financial and operational results, and developing long-term business strategies and budgets. The role also oversees product strategy, manufacturing and assembly capabilities, and make-or-buy-partner decisions. The Managing Director will manage business risks, improve customer satisfaction through reliable delivery, and support global sales and collaboration across international teams. Candidates should have senior business leadership experience, including leading diverse technical operations and a medium-sized, vertically integrated business; experience in defence design engineering is preferred. The role requires a strong record of developing cross-functional teams and building senior-level customer relationships. Key capabilities include strategic and market awareness, customer focus, collaboration, change leadership, and a results-oriented approach. Candidates must also be politically and organizationally aware and able to obtain appropriate security clearances.
