Senior Legal Counsel

The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide commercially focused legal support for complex construction projects. The role centers on reviewing, drafting, and negotiating construction contracts, advising project teams throughout the project lifecycle, and developing practical strategies to manage contractual risk. Responsibilities also include supporting tender negotiations and project delivery, assisting with claims and disputes, managing warranties and related documentation, and coordinating with external legal advisers. The successful candidate will contribute to legal compliance and internal best practices while building strong relationships with commercial, operational, and leadership stakeholders. Candidates should be qualified solicitors with ideally six or more years of post-qualification experience and strong UK construction law expertise gained in private practice or within a contractor. Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts is required, along with exposure to NEC and/or FIDIC contracts. Strong commercial drafting, negotiation skills, technical ability, and the confidence to work independently as a trusted adviser are essential. Previous in-house experience is welcome but not required.
