Associate Vice President, Information Security Greater Mumbai, India Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Information Security to lead information security initiatives and serve as the designated security authority for a regulated entity in India. The role is the primary point of accountability during regulatory examinations and audits, and oversees required regulatory reporting, including timely incident notifications. Responsibilities include coordinating security control execution across a matrixed team, leading incident response through remediation and regulator communication, and working with internal and external auditors, examiners, and assessors. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or security field and more than 15 years of progressive information security experience, including leadership or management experience. A recognized security certification is preferred. The role requires experience in a regulated industry, ideally as an accountable security officer before a financial regulator, along with a track record of managing incidents through regulatory closure. Candidates should also have experience presenting to boards or senior leaders, knowledge of India’s data protection and financial-sector regulations, and the ability to influence across matrixed teams.
