Head of Grid

The Company is seeking a Head of Grid to lead grid connection strategy across its German portfolio of large-scale battery storage projects. Responsibilities include managing relationships with transmission and distribution system operators and other grid stakeholders, guiding projects from early development through connection, and advising on site selection and project development. The role also involves overseeing external consultants, identifying and managing grid-related risks, and collaborating with European colleagues on grid strategy. The successful candidate will build and lead the German grid team as the portfolio grows. Candidates should have strong experience with grid connections in Germany and a solid understanding of the country’s transmission and distribution networks. Experience with large-scale power infrastructure projects in battery storage, renewables, or a related sector is required, along with expertise in grid connection processes and negotiations; direct experience with transmission operators is preferred. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ambition to build a team, are essential. Fluency in German at C1 level or higher and English at B2 level or higher is required.
