Senior Vice President, Services Controls Site Lead Greater Nairobi, Kenya Area

The Company is seeking a senior controls leader to provide on-the-ground risk and governance oversight for a site and a multi-country regional business. Responsibilities include driving proactive risk reduction through thematic reviews, identifying control gaps, and improving processes. The role will implement operating model principles, partner with operations and product teams, and strengthen controls documentation and regulatory compliance. It will also lead and develop a local controls team, oversee the escalation and resolution of risk events, and build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the region. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and bring 10 or more years of experience in operational risk management or a related regulatory function within financial services. Deep knowledge of banking operational risk frameworks and regional regulatory environments, particularly for transaction banking, is required. Candidates should have experience monitoring regulatory compliance, mapping controls and processes, and managing regulatory change from horizon scanning and gap analysis through remediation and ongoing governance. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and stakeholder-influencing skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver across complex, multi-market environments.
